Betty is a family business advisor, professional accountant and financial planner with more than 25 years experience in both large and small, private and public sector organizations as well as extensive involvement with family business consulting including financial, retirement, succession and estate planning primarily within the agricultural community.

Crossroads Planning Group
Betty's company, Crossroads Planning Group Inc., provides family business consulting services. These services include succession, exit and strategic business planning as well as programs to formalize operations and to develop and train family members and employees.
In her role as a family business facilitator, she also provides guidance for establishing and conducting effective and efficient family meetings and councils. A significant part of her practice is to develop, co-ordinate and present seminars and workshops to meet the needs of her clients and the family business community. In addition, Betty has been active in a number of community and public service organizations and on the part time Business Faculty of Fanshawe College.
Betty's insight and understanding of the issues and challenges facing family farm businesses has been enhanced by both her personal and professional farming experiences.
Betty understands that each family farm business is unique and because of this characteristic the succession planning and implementation process for each will be different, however communication and transparency will be necessary to all of them.
Betty is on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors.
Since 1996, through her consulting and training business “Building Up”, Wendy Bulloch has provided facilitating and training services for a variety of organizations across Canada. An experienced team leader, Wendy has had the opportunity to be a “process builder” which includes effective communication skills, consulting and negotiating with diverse clients to identify partnership and business potential, as well as building and maintaining strong relationships with people and with organizations
In 1997, Wendy was selected as 1 of 30 Canadians from across Canada to participate in the first Canadian Agriculture Lifetime Leadership (CALL) program - An intensive two year program with four modules designed to develop effective leaders for the Canadian Agri-Food Industry, and involving learning opportunities and travel throughout Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. Following the completion of the CALL program, Wendy along with Bob Ross and seven other CALL colleagues formed an agriculture consulting business known as Ceres Forte Inc.
In 2004, she launched the Building Up Advantageä a series of modules designed to provide the knowledge, information and skills to meet the various challenges of living in our Canadian communities. As a facilitator and trainer for Volunteer Manitoba, Wendy provides training on Successful Project Planning, Board Governance, Volunteer Management Certificate program and other capacity building courses. Currently, Wendy is on contract to the Manitoba Conservation Districts Association as Executive Director. The Manitoba Conservation Districts Association is a non-profit organization representing 18 Conservation Districts across the province.
Wendy has a degree in Home Economics from the University of Manitoba, a Certificate in Adult and Continuing Education, Certificate in Leadership from University of Saskatchewan and a Certificate in Business Retention and Expansion from the University of Minnesota.
In September of 2007, Wendy was the only rural facilitator to be chosen along with 17 other trainers from Manitoba to participate in the Intercultural Training Program sponsored by Manitoba Labor and Immigration. Community work has included helping on various committees and organizations within Brandon. Most recently, she was elected Chair of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba located in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Robert L. Ross

For 33 years Bob has been President and General Manager of Rossholm Farms Limited, formerly an integrated dairy and crop farm, now a Pure Bred Angus cow-calf and cash crop farm near St. Marys, Ontario. He has served as Board Member and Chair of Canadian, American and International organizations in the dairy industry. Bob is an Associate of the George Morris Centre in Guelph, Ontario.
An experienced facilitator, Bob has provided leadership for think tank initiatives to ensure the quality of the milk recording process in Ontario, and the transition to privatization from both the provincial and federal milk recording agencies. He has acted as conference Chairman of the International Committee for Animal Recording Conferences, as well as representing Canada at these conferences. Bob was a member of the development and implementation team for AgriSuccess programs in Canada.

He has coordinated the CTEAM educational study program for Canadian farm managers since its inception in 1999. Bob is currently a member of the Canadian Farm Business Management Council and the Canadian Consulting Agrologists Association.
Accomplishments include: Selected as one of 30 Canadians for Canadian Agriculture Lifetime Leadership (CALL) program, Appointed to Executive Advisory Board of Canadian Total Excellence in Agriculture Management (CTEAM) Program, Executive Member, Ontario Large Herd Operators, Consultant & Facilitator, GeorgeMorris Centre; Member of OIA-AIC Feasibility Study Team, Mexican FarmWorkers in Canada and Mexico; Co-Facilitates Strategic Planning & Board Governance Session, Lead for the Development of the Strategic Planning module for the University of Guelph, AgriBusiness eCampus; Outside Board Director on Four Farm Family Businesses. Bob is a Business & Financial Consultant, for Canadian Farm Business Advisory Services.
